Office and Investment Specialist
In 1984, while enrolled in an M.B.A. program in Seattle, Doug and his business partner started a brand new commercial construction and development firm. The master’s degree was placed on hold while the two of them created a very successful enterprise that employed over 100 individuals at the height of the Seattle construction boom in the 90’s. Projects ranged from in-house development of office space, large warehouse facilities, and industrial buildings, to retail and medical complexes. Construction work for outside clientele ranged from a multimillion dollar, high-security research and development facility in Oregon (where the firm opened a second office) Idaho and Oklahoma, plus everything in between. All in-house work, and much of the negotiated outside contract work, included land procurement, design & engineering, permitting, construction, leasing and tenant build-out. The vast majority of the contract work was negotiated.
In 2000, Doug sold his interest in the firm to his business partner and has concentrated since that time on property management matters for the portfolio of properties he and his outside business partners control. In 2003, Doug and his wife Diana moved to Tucson. Doug has a great wealth of experience in all sides of the commercial building, development and leasing world, and brings a wide range of expertise and insight to focus on the needs of landlords and tenants alike.
