Amos, who was working at Tucson Realty & Trust Co. in its founding year, 1911, eventually rose to become President and Chairman of the firm until his death in 1976. The stewardship of the firm was assumed by his son George H. Amos, Jr., known as “Buddy” and later by his grandson George H. Amos III, known as “Hank”. Today, Tucson Realty & Trust Co. continues its long tradition of dedication to the Tucson community and to the next generation of business leaders.
The George H. Amos Scholarship is awarded to University of Arizona students majoring in business with a particular focus on urban and regional development.
